ABOUT US

Hello my dear friends!

My name is Sarwar Jeelani.
I am director of the private  public high
school  AL-MEHRAN  in  Thatta  city (Pakistan)
want to tell you about my country, about my
city and about my school.

In 1991 year I founded the AL-MEHRAN PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL  for children from poor families. It was in my own home in a Thatta town in the Pakistan. My first pupils were 7 children who lived nearby. I was their only teacher. Now the school have 250 students and 15 teachers. There are 10 classes for children from 4 to 14 years old. This was made possible through the support of my family and people close to me.

Students learn all the necessary items, receive a certificate at the end of the school, which gives them the opportunity to continue their education in college.

The school is very limited in finances, so there is no possibility to increase the number of classes, to make repairs and to purchase the necessary furniture. In the century of computerization we are not able to equip a computer class for children. Many students need to ensure their free form, and school supplies. Unfortunately, we can not afford it. But despite all these difficulties, we try to do everything possible to give children an education, and thus start in life.

Children want to study. They tend to be educated, to have a chance at a decent future. Our small but friendly team of teachers trying to do everything for these children.  We encourage the best students; we arrange for them festivals and concerts, with their participation, etc. We try to make them full members of society.

On these pages I want to tell you more about these children and their small achievements which show how they want to achieve something in life.

If you wish to support our school, please contact me
